Remanufacturing is the term used to describe innovative manufacturing processes which return an end-of-life part or product to like-new (with a warranty to match).
Recommerce is the increasing trend among consumers and businesses to trade used items for new or used goods, spend less and be more environmentally responsible.
Both remanufacturing and recommerce are attracting attention as investors seek out industries that are growing not in spite of the recession but because of it.
Speakers at this event will include Oakdene Hollins which runs the UK Centre for Remanufacturing & Reuse, Cisco, ReBuy, a web-based German recommerce company which buys and sells consumer goods and Mountain Cleantech, a Swiss-based VC fund which has recently invested in ReBuy.
If you are interested in speaking at this event, please contact us. Speaking involves a fee, but attendance is free for investors, entrepreneurs and journalists. Advisors are excluded.
