Japan’s nuclear accident: A perfect storm for a surge in renewable energy? According to the U.N.’s environmental unit (UNEP), renewable energy investment reached $200 billion in 2010 and is expected to reach $240 billion in 2011. There is no better time than now to collaborate, strategize, and innovate to create a sustainable energy future.

Charged2020 is a senior executive summit that brings together key business leaders, researchers, technologists, policy makers, entrepreneurs, and investors along the renewable energy generation, storage and smart grid value chains. The aim is to discuss strategic opportunities for creating a clean energy future through the development of sustainable technologies and innovative leadership.

Hear experts speak on:

– Sustainable solutions to today’s energy challenges
– Identifying the next break-through renewable energy technologies
– Smart grid technology to modernize power grid reliability and efficiency
– Enhancing battery innovation through successful partnerships and collaboration
– The future of electric cars and smart grid integration
– The next generation of biofuels
– New developments in government funding
– Strategies for growing venture capital investment
– Successful innovation under increasing regulations

The feedback from the 2010 forum was extremely positive. The forum was inaugurated by the Mayor of San Diego and endorsed by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Our 2010 speakers included Reyad Fezzani, CEO, BP Solar; Eric Isaacs, Director, Argonne National Laboratory; Gerd Goette, Vice President & Partner, Siemens Venture Capital; Sven Thessen, Head of California Business Development, Better Place; and many other top executive-level speakers.
