Bay Localize and a growing list of co-conveners invite you to the Bay Area Convening on Resilience and Equity, a gathering of community groups, social movements, and public planners to chart a path for resilience with justice in the Bay Area.
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 from 9 am to 3 pm

Resilience is quickly becoming a buzzword. Regional plans are being formulated for resilient economy, climate adaptation, and emergency preparedness. It’s time for Bay Area community groups and social movements to establish a common agenda of what equitable community resilience looks like, and how to make it happen.
Goals for the Convening:
Shared Principles: Establish common principles of equitable community resilience
Shared Priorities: Set priorities for getting equitable resilience in local and regional plans
Deeper Collaboration: Commit to next steps for collaboration in making it happen
Cost:
The low conference fee of $7-10 (sliding scale) includes catered lunch. To volunteer, see below.
